Switchyard installation

SwitchYard is a component-based development framework focused on building structured, maintainable services and applications using the concepts and best practices of SOA. It works with Apache Camel to provide a fast, simple, flexible integration runtime with comprehensive connectivity and transports.

A uniform application model augments Apache Camel, joining Java EE, BPM, rules, orchestration, and routing into a cohesive development model and runtime. Installation of a new 12 MV dry type transformer, circuit breakers and disconnect switches, all associated support structures, and auxiliary equipment.

New concrete equipment foundations and pads for the new switchyard equipment as mentioned above were placed prior to setting of the new transformer and auxiliary equipment. New foundations and equipment were tied into the existing yard grounding system. As with the transformer, the high voltage connections are made through bushings. Circuit breakers of this type are usually arranged for remote electrical control from a suitably located switchboard.

Some recently developed circuit breakers have no oil, but put out the arc by a blast of compressed air; these are called air circuit breakers. Another type encloses the contacts in a vacuum or a gas sulfur hexafluoride, SF6 which tends to self maintain the arc. One current transformer can be used to operate several instruments, provided that the combined burden does not exceed that for which the transformer is designed and compensated. The current transformer is connected directly in series with the line.

One transformer can be used for several instruments at the same time if the total current taken by the instrument does not exceed that for which the transformer is designed and compensated. The ordinary voltage transformer is connected across the line, and the magnetic flux in the core depends upon the primary voltage.

This section of the guide provides basic details on how to install the SwitchYard distribution on your system. The following SwitchYard distributions are available:. All versions of SwitchYard can be downloaded from JBoss. You have a configured instance of Maven 3 for building the SwitchYard Quickstarts. Download the SwitchYard Distribution Zip file and simply unzip it into a suitable location on your file system.

To start the SwitchYard AS instance simply open a command terminal, change directory into the distribution bin directory and execute the "standalone" command script standalone.
